There is nothing written in stone that says you have to do an organic total body cleanse one way or the other, but it can be really hard to get out of a recipe rut, or you simply may be too new to cleansing to know which ingredients would be best for your juice or for your smoothies. There are tons of different combinations and ultimately what you decide to go with is up to you, should you decide a cleansing product is easier for you because there is less effort, planning, or whatever the reason may be, then be sure to try some of the products available, but otherwise I’ll detail some simple recipes for total body cleanse results without having to buy any products.
If you plan on doing juicing as your primary cleansing routine, then I advise that you stick with a couple “base” veggies as your main juices and then build from there. I will not advise you to put two parts this or one part that, as servings, tastes, and personal preference really override that, so I’m going to advise on what types of veggies you juice, not how much you juice. The most effective cleansing juice combination I’ve used and have recommended for others is not known for its awesome taste, but it is known for its potent effects. My basic recipe involves using a whole beet, as well as a fresh whole cucumber or two, along with carrots, and this can vary in amount, but just be sure to get all three in there, as these veggie juices have a synergistic effect and enhance each other’s cleansing abilities, plus they are common veggies and are generally accessible to everyone, so this is an ideal concoction. If you want to add some sweetness to the mix to reduce the vegetable taste, I recommend adding either pear juice or apple juice as they both mix very well without being overwhelming.
If you intend to do smoothies as your cleansing routine, or are doing it in addition to juicing, you’re in luck, because unlike juicing, these smoothies contain all the fiber juicing removes so you do not need to be nearly as picky about what produce you use, but I do have some recommendations to get the biggest nutritional bang for your buck. I recommend ALWAYS using organic wild blueberries, and then any other types of berry varieties you like, I stress berries because juicing them is not practical because of the level of fruit it would take to make the juice but, they are great for blending, and berries are one of the most nutritionally dense fruits of any kind.
One of the great recipes for total body cleanse results is the combination of blueberries, elderberries, aronia berries (or chokeberry as its otherwise known), and either blackberries, or raspberries, along with a whole banana for potassium and a thicker more consistent smoothie. If you really feel like stacking up on the fiber and nutrition, throw in some greens like spinach or kale to increase the nutritional boost and get you daily greens in as well through a tasty means instead of trying to chew it all like a farm animal. Be sure to always be local and organic when possible and experiment for what tastes and benefits you most.
