Fruit smoothies and colon cleanse routines go hand-in-hand, and although I generally recommend doing any sort of variety of smoothie with a variety of fruits, there are certain combinations and certain fruits that are head of the pack in terms of being able to provide a colon cleanse. One thing to keep in mind is that you can use either frozen fruit or fresh fruit, frozen fruit has a tendency to make a thicker and colder smoothly, while fresh fruit tends to be a little bit less static and requires additional ice if the person making the smoothie wants it to be a bit colder. I also like to add, that recently the FDA has said that frozen produce retains all the same nutritional value as fresh produce and may even do so for a longer period of time, so you don’t have access to local produce fresh produce feel free to buy frozen or ordered frozen.

One of the biggest reasons why fruit smoothies and colon cleanse programs goes so well together is primarily due to a few different factors. The first is that smoothies are very easy to do, this is because they’re really easy to clean up and are quick to make, plus people are more likely to do them and are more likely to cleanse their colons. The next reason is because of how filling they are, the primary reason these are so filling especially compared to juicing, is because the smoothies contain lots of natural fiber. This naturally occurring fiber not only fills you up, but it allows the smoothie along with other food to pass through your colon and a much quicker and healthier pace thus allowing for an all-day cleanse. The third reason is because you’re filling the vast majority of your daily needs for fruits and vegetables, not only that but you’re doing it with nutritionally dense food instead of buying bottled and watered down the smoothies from the store.

Be advised that when making a smoothie or multiple fruit smoothies, that regardless of whether you bought frozen, local, or at the grocery store  that you only buy organic produce especially if it’s from a store. I advise us not because they are incredibly superior to their standard grown brethren but because they are much less likely to have been exposed to pesticides and poisons. Having said that, make sure you thoroughly wash your produce before turning into a fruit smoothie or any type of total cleanse; this is because there still may be wax and dirt on the produce and the other reason is because people still handle this produce and store, lots of people in fact. So to avoid getting any diseases, illnesses, or contaminants that may have come from customers and employees please be sure to not only wash your own hands to wash the produce with a good vegetable and fruit wash which you should be able to find any health food store or online.

Acai berries are not a cure all, no fruit or vegetable no matter how “super” is enough to really cleanse your body and also make up for all the other nutrients people tend to replace with one or two super fruits or other supplements and ingredients.  Having said all that, this particular berry IS very beneficial and healthy if taken in the right way, and in the right amounts. An acai berry whole body cleanse can either be done through the use of a supplemental product in combination with juicing or green smoothies, or it can be done by simply blending, mixing and integrating the berry in its various forms in your smoothies or juice instead of suing a packaged product or supplement. I am not going to recommend any cleansing product, as there are simply too many but I do advise you try various ones to see which ones best suit your needs, budget, and situation. In this article I’ll be detailing the different forms and ways you can incorporate the acai berry into your smoothies and juices.

The first option would be to do your acai berry whole body cleanse with freshly pressed or juiced veggie and fruit juices. The best form in which you can do this is through the use of freeze dried acai powder, while not the most optimum form of acai-its close, and very convenient because of the form it’s in and that it won’t spoil quickly like liquid forms of acai. I recommend either sambazon or amazon thunder powder, don’t bother with powder capsules as they don’t absorb as well where as a couple scoops of the regular freeze dried powder mixed in with the great delivery system of freshly made juice will allow for much more absorption and bioavailability. I tend not to recommend the bottled “juice supplements” you will find in the supplement stores as they are often spoiled, poorly processed , and are overpriced.

The other method would be to use acai in a fruit smoothie or green smoothie, this can be great for folks who don’t have a juicer, or simply don’t have the time to juice as blending provides a quick and easy method of getting nutrients plus the added bonus of tons of naturally occurring fiber. You can use the powdered acai for these as well and they work great, but another choice is using frozen puree. Sambazon and Zola both provide high quality flash pasteurized frozen puree which is unsweetened. These puree packs are ideal for smoothies for obvious reasons, you get the whole berry in the purest form next to having the berry itself and its in a frozen and convenient package for smoothie making, and the FDA has determined frozen produce does retain its nutritional value as much if not longer then fresh produce. So no matter how you choose to incorporate acai into your whole body cleanse, be sure you research, test, and go with what works for you.

Smoothies can be a really healthy and equally tasty alternative to all sorts of treats like ice cream, fatty and processed yogurts, jello, pudding, and many more. But wouldn’t it be great if these could provide an even bigger health impact on our bodies then what most would think to make? Well these power packed smoothies are affectionately known as the green smoothie in most health circles, and it has started to catch on in the mainstream. What makes these smoothies so much more potent than a traditional fruit smoothie is that they contain greens. These greens can be either one or a mixture of any you like some of the most common and healthful of the bunch are greens like kale, chard, spinach, and many more. Blenders exist now that can mince these hearty leaves into a fine consistency that ends up mixing within a fruit smoothie, and the natural sugars from the fruits end up covering up the taste of the greens, so it’s a win-win recipe.

The primary reason these act as great colon cleansers is because fruits are naturally very cleansing to begin with but also beyond the high fiber content of the whole blended fruit itself, you get the added boost of fiber made by the addition of greens to your smoothies. This incredibly high fiber content provided you have multiple servings can nearly complete and sometimes exceed your total daily recommended serving for fiber! This is amazing to get in a tasty sweet treat! This fiber is going to allow your body to naturally push through clogged fecal matter and after regular use every day and keep your bowel movements regular and efficient.

These cleansing green smoothies can be made every single day, and if you buy the right blender, you’ll find they are incredibly easy to make, affordable to do, and easy to clean up. I personally recommend the total blender from blendtec, its pricey at around 400$ as of this writing, but it is very much worth it, this is the same blender used in juice shops like jamba juice, its industrial quality. This blender is the most powerful on the market, and its super easy to clean, myself and my friends all enjoy it because of how quick it is to clean, just squeeze a few drops of soap, pulse the blender and rinse and your done! This will make it so blending doesn’t feel like a chore every day, but something you look forward to, so here’s to your health!
