Keeping your liver in good shape through cleansing is truly the vital key to having the best overall health you can! This amazing organ has well over a few hundred various jobs to do in the human body! It is truly the front line of protection dealing with any toxins; the livers primary role is to make bad toxins into forms that can be safely and easily flushed from the body as waste. Also, all the nutrients taken in via the gastrointestinal tract goes into the bloodstream by means of your liver, so as you can see liver health is vital!

The liver releases crucial digestive secretions that help facilitate food digestion in addition to cleaning the blood as well. Toxins, pollution, pesticides, and contaminated soil and water are inhaled or taken in regular day to day activity. People’s exposure to these elements is also made worse by the use of steroid use, certain medications, any smoking, and the overconsumption of liquor, and processed foods. Many do not have access to adequate fresh drinking water either. With the support of the healthy liver, people naturally flush the metabolic waste substances and toxins made from the metabolic processes our bodies normally go through. Our livers also have a huge impact on our hormonal system, it helps to modulate and balance our bodily hormone activity levels to ensure proper neurological function. With the processed meals, and nutrient deficient goods people eat these days, plus the external pollution of the air we breathe and the water we drink, our liver has to work harder these days to cleanse our bodies maintain normal metabolic activity.

This where doing a simple core liver cleanse can really come in handy, and help  give your liver the opportunity to do cleanse the rest of the body, after all what good is a tool if it’s not working properly right? The good news is a core liver cleanse is devoid of any fancy ingredients or elaborate concoctions. While I advise looking at different cleansing products out there to see if any suit your needs, you can also do some simple liver cleanses at home too. What I advise is juicing a couple glasses of beet juice, celery juice, cucumber juice, and carrot juice and drinking it through the day. These all work synergistically to help remove excess water and waste plus they deliver vital nutrients that support the liver too, and give it the opportunity and fuel it needs to regenerate so it can work for you again the way it should. Drink plenty of pure filtered water too, i advise around 2-3 liters for women (depending on weight and size) and about 3-4 for men (same size rules apply).

I recommend not eating much solid food, and should you do so, keep it raw, and whole, no man made foods, do that along with regular juicing, then about 3-7 days into the core liver cleanse you should notice a huge difference in how you feel. You may feel a bit sick during this process but that’s totally normal because your body is finally eliminating all those nasty built up toxins, so keep it up and see it through your body will thank you.

A lot of people don’t realize that it is not the total cleanse routine or detox program that is used that does the vast majority of the cleaning but it is in fact the liver. Most folks do not know that a detox or cleanse of any type is really just a means of facilitating the body’s own capability to clean, repair and detox itself back into better health. We are still learning about the thousands, yes THOUSANDS, of different functions and cleansing jobs this wonder organ has to perform on a constant basis. Problems arise when people abuse their bodies to a point where the liver simply cannot regenerate itself anymore because it is simply too overloaded with toxins, fat, and poisons to help repair itself, this where a liver cleanse cleansing routine comes in. And one of the best methods of helping to support is to do liver cleansing with beet juice.

I’m not going to bog down people in this article with too much medical detail as to why this particular vegetable juice is so potent, but suffice it to say that fruits and vegetables that are red, especially dark crimson red, are generally very good at reducing blood pressure, increasing much needed heart specific minerals like iron, and they also help to often reduce bad cholesterol as well. Beets along with beet juice as well helps to facilitate more efficient waste removal as well, which helps to keep food and also toxins moving along to be sent out of the body, this can only serve to help the liver because the liver is what cleanses the BLOOD which passes through the heart to be pumped throughout the body, so this juice supports both organs at the same time.

The additional benefits that liver cleansing with beet juice provides are numerous and they include stimulating and helping the liver to remove excess bile’s and toxins as well as supporting the gallbladder which effectively turns it into a liver and gallbladder cleanse. Beet juice also supports the liver to fight off jaundice, food poisonings, hepatitis, and irregular bowel issues like diarrhea. A good basic beet juice cleanse, would be to keep food light and preferably “Raw” and wholesome. Make sure you drink a fresh glass of juiced beetroot juice once with breakfast, another time with your midday meal if possible and once with or right after your evening meal. Be sure to only juice cleaned and organic or locally grown beets, and do not forget to drink plenty of purified water as that is critical to cleanse the liver and make the beet juice work efficiently.

In order to effectively cleanse your liver, you must have specific nutrients being taken in during the whole process. Sufficient antioxidants are vital to improve and keep your liver in a state of health and vitality. Milk thistle, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and beta carotene are all central aspect to the simple liver cleanse plan. Veggies like cabbage, broccoli; cauliflower and brussel sprouts are chalk full of these essential vitamins and nutrients. A simple liver cleanse happens over a 5 to 6 day period, this is then continued with a daily liver cleanse. Every morning you should drink a glass of pure filtered water with one to two teaspoons of lemon juice, preferably fresh squeezed. Every day you should also consume about 8 glasses of pure water and three glasses of clover, dandelion, or asparagus herbal teas, possibly a bit of each. During this cleansing time you should only consume whole raw foods; like whole grains, veggies, filtered water and lots of fresh fruits grown locally or organically. You must remove specific food types each and every day until your body has completely flushed the solids away and only fluids remain.

Exercise is recommended to be limited to normal walking about one to two miles per day but also ensuring you get all the rest you need-do NOT skimp over this, meditation is also recommended if you’re comfortable doing this in addition to sleep. On Day 1, remove all sweets, caffeine (except for green tea), any and all meats and every kind of refined food. Take two asparagus capsules or a glass of asparagus tea (which you can find in any health food store), two capsules in the morning and two at night or a glass in substitute. On Day 2, remove all nuts, beans and any dairy products. On Day 3, Get rid of all grains with the exception of whole grain or brown rice. On Day 4, remove all veggies that are really starchy like potatoes for example, also eliminate fish from the diet. During Day 5, you should remove the rice you kept before and leave yourself only veggies and fruits. Be sure to consume veggies that are known to be good for the heart such as artichokes, onions, beets and carrots. During Day 6, you need to stop eating any solid food of all types, leaving only liquids like broths, vegetable juices, and filtered water, Teas, and fruit juices.

After the final day-day 6, you should feel healed and res energized, and have an overall sense of lightness and cleanness. You’ll be able to continue your regular diet, except now you will be doing a simple liver cleanse routine for occasional maintenance. You should continue to drink a glass of purified water each morning with 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Also do not stop drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day in addition to the 3 cups herbal tea. Avoid all fatty foods except for healthy fats like mono and polyunsaturated fats (in low amounts), any processed foods, and no alcohol should be consumed in order to keep the workload light and allow the liver to repair itself.

Carrot juice is often used to detox to liver and help remove excess bile and fats from the human body. The liver is also capable of containing large volumes of vitamin A over an extended period of years to be later used when needed by the body. In order to keep that very surplus needed, the body needs a regular daily intake of this vital vitamin. To give you an idea here, an 8-ounce container of freshly made carrot juice will give you about 50,000 or more units of vitamin A per serving. When getting it this way for the daily requirements this is a quick and easy way to add to the surplus of vitamins for any future needs. An additional vitamin found in carrot juice is vitamin E. This vital nutrient comes in threebasic forms, the chemical names are as follows: alpha-, beta-, and gamma-tocopherol, also more commonly known as a vitamin E Complex.

Carrot juice is also extremely high in beta-carotene, and this particular nutrient is widely known as a cancer fighting element. Beta-carotene is a substance found in plants that is turned into vitamin A which is why it’s known as the “eye vegetable” as vitamin A is needed for eye health. It specifically does a few things such macular degeneration prevention via the aging process and poor health; it also prevents drying of the eyes as well as the skin. This wonderful vitamin is also known for helping to maintain colon health and heal and prevent urinary tract infections, it also strengthens the battle against a bacterial infection.

Vitamin A might additionally be a great help in preventing particular types of cancers. There are other symptoms and drawback to not getting enough of this vital nutrient found abundantly in carrot and carrot juices, some of these symptoms include: poor overall growth, dry skin, night blindness, and xerophthalmia or more commonly known as dry eye, which is a very common symptom. The vitamin A that is contained in high concentrations in freshly juiced carrots is extremely vital for women who are or may be becoming pregnant. These women need to strengthen and keep the health of their own body as it is, in addition to the new child growing inside them, so getting extra and bioavailable nutrition through juicing can be a great means of doing this, and carrot juice is gentle and healthy for both you and your baby. But for those who just need to help clean out there systems, a carrot juice liver cleanse will be a great way to start a weight loss plan or incorporate to an overall larger cleansing regimen, as this kind of juicing cleanse will provide the needed nutrients to your lover to then allow your liver to do the bulk of the real detoxing for you.

Radiologists and gastroenterologists who are examining the typical patient in modern times would tell you that over 50% of people over 50 have what’s commonly known as a “fatty liver”. Generally if people have fatty livers they often have other very diseased and poorly running organs or parts of the organs as well.  This has certainly been the case for myself when I was eating nothing but junk all the time, I had gallbladder attacks, occasional kidney pain, acidic stool which burned, and my urine was extremely dark which was a sign I wasn’t getting nearly enough water and nutrients in my diet. What’s worse is that some have abused alcohol over the years and its wreaked havoc on their liver, the good news is you CAN improve you livers condition with a total cleanse, your body has an amazing ability to heal itself; you simply need to give it the time, and nutrients to do so.

Your liver is an amazing organ, especially considering what it’s bombarded with on a day to day basis, but there are reasons as to why it’s health secrets are not known to enough people. Some in the medical community feel a total cleanse and the general idea of detoxifying your body is a bit extreme, and that eating healthy and moderate regular exercise is ENOUGH. This might have been the case a 100 or more years ago for many people. But modern life has prevented even those basic and very sound habits from being enough over time. This is because not all of our toxicity comes from food. We now live extremely sedentary lives in the unhealthy and stale air of our homes, and then when we want to go outside for refreshing air, we have all manner of pollution, chemicals, and allergens entering our system just through breathing! So instead of Being paranoid, a simple liver cleanse now and again will keep your body running in much better shape. After all your liver functions as your body’s main detoxifying organ, so wouldn’t it be wise to make sure it’s running in top shape?

Here are small simple guidelines to an easy to maintain if not daily liver cleanse and improve liver health:

4-6 Liters of water each day: Frankly this rule should be followed daily as it will have the greatest impact on your liver and overall health, and is one of the biggest contributors to the rapid weight loss experienced by heavier individuals. Please make sure you are using well filtered bottled water or well water.

1-4 Cups of green Tea throughout the day: Generally it’s best to do fresh brewed green or white tea, but if all you can buy is bottled, my recommendation would be Ito En’s Oi Ocha, and this bottled green tea is lightly brewed with whole tea leaves and only has vitamin C to preserve it for shipping and shelving.

2-4 Glasses of the Detox Combo I always Recommend: have 2-4 Glasses of beetroot,A shot of wheatgrass juice, Carrot and Cucumber juice; these can be mixed together with a bit of ginger or apple juice to sweeten the flavor.
