Vegetable juice cleansing can be a fantastic way detoxing your body and increasing your overall health through natural means. I do however advise that people consider looking at different cleansing products to at least try them out and make sure that the convenience and ease of having a prepackaged cleansing product wouldn’t be appropriate for you. I don’t endorse or claim to know how any of these different programs effectiveness is but they are certainly worth a try. If you simply cannot afford a juicer or do not have the time to make vegetable juice or to do vegetable juice cleansing so be sure to keep that in mind while you’re reading this so that you can make the best decision for yourself.

The biggest advantage to doing vegetable juice cleansing is that you can get a huge amount of servings of vegetables into your system quickly without having to consume and I’m realistic amount of raw vegetables, which if you were to try and do would equal multiple pounds in many plates of raw vegetables, this is obviously not practical for most people including the most stalwart of vegetarians and vegans let alone the average person who’s just trying to become healthier. Which brings us to why we are focusing on the vegetable juice cleansing consider fruit juice cleansing; this is because our ultimate goal is to help repair and nourish our bodies. While fruit juice is generally considered the tastier option it’s filled with sugar and acts more like a cleanser or preparation juice for the real workhorse which is vegetable juice.

The reason why vegetable juice cleansing works is because vegetables contain a lot of the nourishing vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that help repair all the various organs that are the primary sources of body detoxification primarily the liver and kidneys. Essentially what we are trying to do with the vegetable juice cleanse is give our liver of the opportunity to really do the detoxification, not juice itself. The vegetable juice is just a means of getting the liver and healthy state to begin the total cleanse process within the body when it normally wouldn’t have that opportunity due to poor diet. I generally advise drinking vegetable juice at least once or twice a day in general but when doing it with a cleanse you want to make sure you have it with every raw meal or just by itself, the latter of which is more effective and this is normally considered to be a juice fast. If you are going to go on a juice fast I advised you have released a minimum of three days to seven days. You’ll find information on how to juice fast on other parts of the site.

This article is essentially a condensed version of my core total cleanse routine and guide which you can also find on my site as well if you want a more comprehensive and detailed guide. This is meant for those of you who need something a bit more general or simply would prefer a more compact version of my prior total cleanse routine. What this says is essentially how to juice fast for total cleanse, juice fasting is by far the most effective, quickest, and natural way to really clean out your colon and help detox your body in the process. Always consult a doctor or other healthcare professional before doing any cleansing routine or cleansing products.

Basically what I recommend that people do is that the day before they cleanse and particularly the night before they cleanse I recommend that people do not eat heavily and that most of their food should be raw and organic and should not be processed or cooked. This is to help prepare the body for the next three days or you will not be in any solid food and you’ll only be drinking juice and water. The first thing that needs to be done is the person doing the cleanse needs to purchase a bottle of natural oral liquid laxative, I use and often recommend buying oral solution magnesium citrate, you can find a bottle of this at any drugstore like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid to name a few. The bottle is usually 10 to 12 ounces and is generally in a glass bottle, I recommend putting it in the fridge and cooling it just like you would a beverage so that it goes down easier. You drink the whole bottle the night before you start your cleanse and throughout the night and into the next day your bowel movements should be mostly liquid and this is a good thing as it exactly what you want to see and that means your colon is removing all the excess waste.

Instead of using an entire article or post for each individual day I’ll simply sum up how to juice fast for total cleanse throughout the three days as what you do doesn’t change really very much. If you have a juicer I recommend juicing over buying bottled juice as this kind of juice has more enzymes in and it’s also a lot healthier for you as a result. If you don’t have or can’t acquire a juicer I recommend buying only organic whole juices, no juice blends or anything from concentrate, just the straight stuff with no extra ingredients except for the juice itself and that’s it. You can generally consume any type of fruit juice that you want but there are specific vegetable juices that you must take each day, these four include carrot juice, cucumber juice, beet juice, and celery juice. Be sure to get an equal amount of each juice regardless of the serving within each day and drink these for all three days. Along with the fruit juice and vegetable juice you must continue to drink a large amount of purified filtered water I recommend at least 2 to 3 liters for women in 3 to 4 for men possibly more during cleanse by about an extra liter or so for both genders.

You will be hungry, you may even feel ill, your breath may get worse and your body odor may start to worsen as well, this is to be expected and is a sign that you were starting to release the toxins naturally from your body, stick with it. At the end of the three days you can eat again but do so with small portions and only with raw and organic foods nothing processed or cooked do this for the next 3 to 7 days as well. Then you can gradually go back to at least some of the foods that you ate before, but if you want to maintain the results you’re going to want to stick to a healthy and natural diet.

Consuming fresh and varied vegetable juice is a fantastic means of dealing with constipation. Drinking carrot juice for constipation relief regularly is an effective method to help with bowel movement issues. Carrot juice contains specific oils that help improve the mucus membrane functions of the stomach and digestive system like the colon. These juices have enzymes which naturally occur that can help with facilitating proper digestion and allows your bowels to perform as they normally should. Carrots as a vegetable are high in fiber and if you want to get the benefits of the fiber you may want to blend the carrots instead of juicing them as that removes the fiber. They also have beta-carotene, which is a powerful and much needed antioxidant; the human body converts this to what’s known as vitamin A. Carrots juice and bowel movements are closely related because the nutrients found in either carrot juice or blended carrots can make your stool larger and softer. Why is this something we would want?

Because bigger stools dilute the toxins being removed through the waste more efficiently, which in turn also reduces the actual physical exposure time in the colon, bigger stools also push  against the colon walls to facilitate peristaltic action. So generally, larger stools are better for you and carrot juice will soften help to serve that purpose naturally. I recommend people drink carrot juice two to three times a day for constipation relief, once in the morning, sometime during the day, preferably with a midday meal, and once before going to sleep. Juicing and drinking fresh carrot juice will give you much more superior results then using canned juice because of the active enzymes which die during the pasteurization process for bottled juices. If you want to you can drink more carrot juice if you like, these guidelines are just a minimum.

The additional nutritional benefits are numerous as carrots naturally contain lots of vitamins and minerals – C, B, E, D, K, sodium, carotene, and potassium. All these additional nutrients help to improve your overall bodily function which in turn allows your body to remove fecal matter more effectively. As you increase your intake of carrot juice, you might find you will feel a little sick or nauseated. This is normal, because when carrot juice enters your digestive system it will stir up toxic areas in that system. These feelings will pass as you begin to flush the toxins from your body so its nothing to be overly concerned about.
